“The Gift” Gives Back
Undefeated pro boxer, Chordale “The Gift” Booker kicks off holiday toy drive at Revolution Training, offers free week of unlimited classes for toy donations.
Stamford, CT, December 5, 2017 – This week, in a web video with him dressed as Santa Claus in a boxing ring, Stamford native and undefeated professional boxer Chordale “The Gift” Booker launched a holiday gift drive to benefit the Marines Toys For Tots program at Revolution Training (579 Pacific Street Stamford, CT 06902), where the 2015 national champion is also a personal trainer.
Booker announced that individuals who donate an unwrapped gift to the cause would receive a week of free, unlimited classes at Revolution.
Said Booker, “This holiday season, I was looking to tap into two of my personal passions – helping disadvantaged Stamford-area youth, and promoting fitness and healthy living. I think this program is the perfect way to do both, and I hope local residents are as excited to give back and get healthy as I am.”
After a troubled youth that was the subject of the 2016 award-winning documentary, “The Boxer,” Booker dedicated himself to becoming one of the best in his sport as well as to being a role model to Stamford-area youth – something that he felt was missing in his own adolescence, leading to his transgression.
